How far in advance should I book my session?
Off-peak season (colder months) tend to have more flexibility naturally. During peak seasons I would recommend booking at least 6 weeks in advance. I have limited availability and tend to be booked 4 weeks out on average.
When do sessions take place?
2 hours after sunrise or 2 hours before sunset.
In-home sessions are best when light is brightest inside your home.
Where do sessions take place?
Outdoors sessions can take place practically anywhere! The location is at your choosing within a specific distance from Windham, ME depending on your edition choice. I have a few fantastic locations I can recommend if you are unsure on location! I highly recommend using one of my recommended locations for results similar to what you see in my portfolio!
In-home lifestyle sessions are also an option!
What kind of payment do you accept?
I accept Cash, Check Payable to Susie Lee Photography, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Venmo or PayPal.
How will I receive my pictures?
Your gallery will be uploaded to the GALLERIES section of Susieleephotography.com. You will receive a download pin, that can be shared with friends and family, to download your digital photos directly to your PC or mobile device.
Is my gallery public?
Yes. All galleries are visible in the GALLERIES section unless specifically requested in advance. If you request a private gallery, it will be password protected with a password of your choosing. If you request a private gallery, I will not use your photos on my home page or publish a sneak peek. Only your cover photo will be visible.
Can I share my pictures on social media?
Absolutely! Share away! Just please remember to credit Susie Lee Photography when doing so.
Also, please do not add filters or edit the photos in any way. The photos are still under copyright ownership of Susie Lee Photography. As a client you are only purchasing the rights to use them.
How long will it be before I receive my gallery?
Your gallery will be completed within 15-20 business days of your session date.
Expedite Fees: 10 Business days: $50.00. 5 Business days: $100.00
Why do my photos take so long to complete?
There is SO much that goes into creating your final gallery. Starting with first culling through hundreds of photos to find the best of the best. After that, each photo is hand-edited one-by-one. Cropping, adjusting color, exposure, white balance, smoothing skin, removing blemishes or photoshopping distracting background items out of frame. At the time of your session there may be other sessions already awaiting editing. Each session is edited in order of session date and, on average, takes around 6 hours to edit. Since I also work a full-time healthcare job, that 6 hours is usually pretty spread out.
Will there be a sneak peek?
I try to post a sneak peek to Instagram and Facebook before gallery completion if I can. My editing process does not always provide the opportunity for one though. If you specifically request a sneak peek, I will make try to make it happen!
What happens if there is rain or snow in the forecast for my session?
If forecast is predicting rain or snow we will reschedule. Decision will be made the day before the session, as Maine weather can be unpredictable!
What kind of equipment do you use?
I shoot with a Nikon Z6 (Nikon D750 for backup) and a variety of prime lenses. My two main go-to lenses are my 85mm/f1.8 and my 35mm/f1.4.
Do you sell prints?
No. But all my sessions come with a print release as part of the contract you and I will sign.
I recommend using a professional online or local printing lab. I do NOT recommend any chain store labs. Their printers are not suitable for professional printing.
What is your refund policy?
Due to the nature of digital photography and the fact that digital photographs, once sent, cannot be returned; Susie Lee Photography has a strict NO REFUNDS POLICY. This is also stated in our signed contract.
